Election Information

There are two ways to vote before election day. 

1)       The first way is by absentee ballot. Those ballots you get from me about 30 to 40 days prior to the election. The absentee ballots are not tabulated until election day, unless you bring them to the early voting site at 401 Lake street from October 26 Saturday thru November 3 Sunday, and you may tabulate them yourself.  

2)       The second way is called early voting which is new.  The early voting will be held at 401 Lake Street in Cadillac from 8:30 am to 4:30 pm daily from October 26, thru November 3, 2024. This includes Saturdays and Sundays. During this time you will get your ballot and tabulate it.

This new early 9 day voting law is for state and federal elections only.

Wednesday October 30th, 2024 early voting report: as of yesterday there have been just under 200 early voters for Cherry Grove Township.  Great Job voters!

PUBLIC NOTICE

Two LMSA Board members, have terms expiring this year. One from Selma Township (this position must be an elected or appointed position of the twp.) and one from Cherry Grove Township. Persons wishing to be considered for an appointment to the LMSA board for a 3- year term starting January 1, 2025, may apply by submitting a letter of interest, including qualifications, to the LMSA at 3161 South Lake Mitchell Drive or operationsoffice@lakemitchellsewer.com. Letter of interest must be received by Friday, November 15, 2024 no later than 4:30 p.m. Applications will be considered at a Special or Regular meeting of the LMSA board in accordance with the LMSA Bylaws.
